Xbox owners, clear some storage space. Forty new games land on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC over the next seven days, and it’s one of the busiest weeks of the year for the platform. Five of those launches are day-one Xbox Game Pass releases, so subscribers get a stacked week without spending an extra dime.
The action starts Tuesday, October 13. Battlefield 6 joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, just as the shooter’s huge Season 5 update kicks off with Las Vegas and a Dead Space crossover. The same day brings two day-one Game Pass launches: Valor Mortis, a first-person soulslike from the team behind Ghostrunner set in the aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars, and Deep Dish Dungeon, a survival game with puzzle elements.
Zoo management fans also get fed on Tuesday with Planet Zoo 2 from Frontier Developments. Then on Wednesday, October 14, the retro shooter crowd gets Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2.
The back half of the week keeps the pace up. Thursday, October 15 delivers Chained Beasts, a co-op gladiatorial roguelike where up to four players are physically chained together, and Bluey’s Happy Snaps for the younger crowd — both day-one on Game Pass. Friday, October 16 closes things out with Beyond These Stars, a city builder where you construct a civilization on the back of a gargantuan space whale.
There’s plenty beyond the headliners too: the long-awaited Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition, Toy Story 3 Complete Edition and Toy Story: Retro Roundup, the rhythm action games Alpha Nomos and Ratatan, puzzlers Colorbound, Color Attack and Desolus, sim titles like Cleaning Simulator and My Recycling Center 2, the story RPG Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, arcade kickabout Street Football, horror adventure Tenebris Somnia, and the Tales of Eternia Remastered.
One heads-up for Game Pass members: a few titles leave the service on October 15, including A Plague Tale: Requiem and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — so if they’re still in your backlog, this week is your last chance.
