If you’ve got a Game Pass backlog, this is your 11-day warning: eight games rotate out of the Xbox Game Pass catalog on October 31, and a couple of them are the kind of games that eat entire weekends.
The departures were spotted in the “Leaving Soon” section of the official Xbox app, and the list is now confirmed. Here is everything on the way out:
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Wartales
- Wildgate
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
- Day of the Tentacle Remastered
- Full Throttle Remastered
- Dead Static Drive
The biggest losses are easy to call. Deep Rock Galactic is the beloved co-op shooter where you and up to three friends play space dwarves, digging for resources while alien bugs swarm the tunnels. It’s been in the Game Pass catalog since November 2020 — nearly six years — so this one genuinely stings. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, meanwhile, packs all nine Star Wars films into one game, and after four years on the service it’s finally flying away.
Strategy fans should look hard at Wartales, the mercenary-company RPG from Shiro Games with its deep turn-based combat. And with Halloween right around the corner, Dead Static Drive is a fitting last-minute horror pick: a survival adventure set on a road trip through a monster-infested world.
The two Double Fine remasters leaving — Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle — make sense in light of recent studio news. Double Fine left Microsoft this year and returned to independence after seven years, taking ownership of its games back with it. Those two classics joined Game Pass back in October 2020 and are departing now that the studio is its own company again.
If any of these are sitting unfinished in your library, Game Pass members get at least 20 percent off their purchase price until they leave, so you can keep playing after October 31. According to store listings, access officially ends around November 1, so Halloween is your last full day.
More additions are still expected before the end of the month — the Wave 2 announcement usually lands around October 20 — so the catalog will keep turning over. But for these eight, the clock is officially ticking.
