Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Is 14-16 Hours Long

Crystal Dynamics has confirmed how long it will take to play through Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Experience Director Jeff Adams told MP1st the reimagined classic takes 14 to 16 hours to complete, depending on playstyle, and urged players not to rush through it.

Adams said the world is built to encourage exploration rather than a straight sprint to the finish. The news arrived alongside a new gameplay sneak peek shown on October 25, 2026, giving fans their latest look at Lara Croft’s return.

Legacy of Atlantis is a complete reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, developed by Crystal Dynamics with Flying Wild Hog and published by Amazon Games. It is built in Unreal Engine 5, and it brings back Lara’s hunt for the scattered pieces of the Scion across Peru, Greece, Egypt and a Mediterranean island, facing traps, gunfights and dinosaurs along the way.

The remake adds new tools to Lara’s kit, including a climbing pickaxe carried over from the Survivor trilogy and a grapple cuff for navigating environments and scaling ledges. Both fit a game that wants players poking into every tomb rather than beelining the story.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis launches February 12, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. The Standard Edition costs $59.99, while the $69.99 Deluxe Edition adds the Parisian Fugitive Outfit and a post-launch DLC Story Pack, whose exact timing is still to be announced. Pre-ordering either edition unlocks the Survivor Outfit early, and Deluxe pre-orders also open 48-hour early access starting February 10, 2027.

Fourteen to 16 hours puts the game in focused-adventure territory: long enough for a globe-trotting hunt, short enough to finish before the next big release crowds it out. For Lara fans, the wait is now just over three months.
