S-GAME’s wuxia action RPG Phantom Blade Zero has sold over 4 million copies in just 72 hours. The studio announced the milestone on November 2, 2026, on the game’s official X account, thanking players for their support.
A record Steam launch
Phantom Blade Zero launched October 29, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as a digital-only release. The standard edition costs $59.99, with a Deluxe Edition at $69.99; a physical PlayStation 5 edition is due in 2027. S-GAME has not broken the sales figure down by platform or edition.
On Steam alone, the game peaked at 833,921 players at the same time on November 1, per SteamDB. That is the biggest single-player Steam peak of 2026 so far — ahead of Hollow Knight: Silksong — and lands the game in Steam’s all-time top 10 for peak players, between Baldur’s Gate 3 and Battlefield 6.
Reviews back the numbers
Reviews are strong: 88 on PC and 87 on PlayStation 5 at Metacritic, 89 percent positive on Steam with a Very Positive rating, and 4.71 out of 5 on the PlayStation Store. IGN scored it 9 out of 10, praising its fast-paced combat and boss encounters. S-GAME says bug fixes and optimizations are already in the works, after some players reported performance issues.
For comparison, Black Myth: Wukong sold 10 million copies in its first 3 days in 2024, and Resident Evil Requiem sold 5 million in its first 5 days.
