Petit Planet Heads to Switch 2 in 2027, PC Launch Dec 4

HoYoverse’s cozy galactic life sim Petit Planet is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The studio confirmed the port during its Petit Planet Pre-Launch Special Program on November 1, 2026 — its first game on a Nintendo platform.

December 4 on PC and mobile first

Petit Planet launches first on December 4, 2026, free to play on PC, iOS, and Android, with pre-downloads opening December 1. Pre-registration is already open on the App Store, Google Play, and the Epic Games Store. The Switch 2 version has no month, price, footage, or Switch 2-specific features announced yet — HoYoverse says it is actively developing the port and will share gameplay and details as 2027 approaches.

What you do on your planet

You play a Planet Tender for the interplanetary Loomi Co., tending your own little planet in the Starsea. Plant a Luca Seed and it grows into a Luca Arbor, shaping your landscape, seasons, and ecosystem. Day to day means farming, fishing, beachcombing, cooking, and decorating, with alien neighbors moving in as you build relationships — plus visits to the Galactic Bazaar for minigames and auctions. More than 1,000 free clothing and furniture items are included at launch.

Cross-platform play is confirmed for PC and mobile at launch; cross-save is still unconfirmed, so a mobile head start should not be treated as a guaranteed Switch 2 save file.

Switch 2 giveaway

To mark the Switch 2 announcement, HoYoverse is giving away three Nintendo Switch 2 and Pro Controller bundles and ten US$50 gift cards. To enter, follow the Petit Planet account on X and repost its announcement with #PetitPlanetSwitch2 before November 15, 2026.
