Epic Games has confirmed it: One Piece is coming to Fortnite. The crossover fans have requested for years will headline the game’s next mini-season, Treasure Hunters, which begins Sunday, November 1 after downtime.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 comes to an end on November 1, when downtime will begin to prepare for the mini-season. The new season is expected to last about a month before a brand-new chapter begins, giving players a pirate-themed stopgap packed with treasure hunting.
Epic built up to the announcement for days, promising a big reveal on October 24 at 2:00 PM ET. The teaser delivered: it shows the Going Merry, the Straw Hat Pirates’ first ship, emerging from the fog. That detail also confirms the collaboration is with the One Piece anime rather than the Netflix series, as the ship’s figurehead differs between the two versions — something fans had already suspected from the anime-style characters in earlier teasers.
An in-game news image unveiled just before the announcement added more clues, showing several pirate crew logos, among them Peely, A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and Lil Uzi Vert. Epic has not yet detailed the season’s skins, Battle Pass contents, or pricing, so players will have to wait for the full reveal to see exactly how the Straw Hat crew shows up in-game.
As far as Fortnite collaborations go, One Piece has long been among the most requested, so the announcement ends years of waiting for fans who wanted the pirate crew on the island. Players still have a few days to finish the current Battle Pass before the season turns over on November 1.
