Rockstar Opens Real Burger Shot, Cluckin’ Bell in Miami

Rockstar Games keeps blurring the line between Miami and Vice City. This week, two of Grand Theft Auto’s most famous in-game restaurant chains opened their doors in real life: Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell are now serving actual food inside Miami’s Kaseya Center.

Fans attending Miami Heat games spotted the fully branded stands, and photos and videos are circulating on social media. The Burger Shot outlet is reportedly a rebranded branch of the local chain Skinny Louie’s — but the disguise is thorough. Staff wear Burger Shot shirts and hats, and the food comes in GTA-branded packaging.

Fans inside the arena are already posting photos and videos of the real stands:

Eating like a GTA character isn’t cheap. The most affordable combo — a cheeseburger with fries and a drink — costs $28.50 before tax, while an applewood bacon burger combo goes for $31. One fan reported paying more than $37 for his meal. That stings, but it’s roughly in line with what stadium food costs these days. The Cluckin’ Bell stand next door serves fried chicken, presumably at similarly steep prices.

And here is the Cluckin’ Bell stand, right next door:

The fast-food takeover is only the latest chapter of Rockstar’s Miami marketing campaign ahead of GTA 6’s November 19 launch. In recent weeks the city has seen a giant illuminated Vice City sign on top of the Kaseya Center, a Vice City-branded blimp floating over Miami Beach, GTA cars wrapped in Vice City livery on the streets, pink-and-blue branded beach umbrellas guarded by security, and elevator ads at the arena promoting the in-game radio station Vice City FM and the fictional TV show Macca & Friends.

It all builds toward November 18, when the Miami Heat take the court as “Vice City” against the Milwaukee Bucks — themed jerseys, a Vice City court, and all — on the eve of the game’s release. GTA 6 arrives November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Rockstar’s first major new single-player release since Red Dead Redemption 2.

For now, the real-life Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell appear limited to the Kaseya Center. But with less than a month to go before launch, this is almost certainly not the last surprise Rockstar has planned for Miami.
