PEAK Hits Consoles With Crossplay and 208 Maps

The mountain is now open to everyone. PEAK, the viral co-op climbing game from Team PEAK (Aggro Crab and Landfall), launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026 — with full crossplay across consoles and PC, and a huge update that changes how the game stays fresh.

Climb together, on any platform

PEAK is a first-person co-op climbing game where up to 4 players, stranded as lost scouts on a mysterious island, work together to reach the top. Online co-op is friends-only, with proximity voice chat, and the mountain layout changes every 24 hours, so no two days play the same. Console players can now climb with Steam players using room codes, and the console versions include every content update since the June 16, 2025 Steam launch — all four biomes included.

208 maps that cycle forever

The console launch came with patch 3.0.0, and it answers a question PC players have asked for a year: what happens when the developers stop patching? Instead of shipping about 30 new maps at a time, Team PEAK added 208 island maps that cycle forever, so runs stay varied without a fresh patch every two weeks. The trade-off is size: the patch is about 10GB, taking the Steam install to roughly 15GB.

Team PEAK says the final content update shipped in August and no more major updates are planned — only bug fixes from here. Launch issues being addressed include a Switch 2 floor-clipping bug and regional pricing adjustments. One thing to know before you buy: there is no cross-save, so badges and unlocks stay on the platform where you earned them.

One of the year’s biggest indie hits, now everywhere

PEAK has sold more than 10 million copies on Steam since its June 2025 launch, and the console release puts the full game in front of a much bigger audience. A PS5 physical edition follows on December 9, 2026 at $19.99. If you have three friends and one mountain to conquer, there is no better time to start climbing.
