ArcheAge Chronicles Opens PC Early Access Today

ArcheAge Chronicles opens PC Early Access today, November 3, 2026. The open-world action MMORPG from XLGAMES is set in Auroria, and it costs $29.99 on Steam.

Buy-to-play, not microtransaction-heavy

That buy-to-play price is a deliberate break from the original ArcheAge, which was weighed down by heavy microtransactions. Chronicles instead sells the game up front, with action combat and exploration at the core.

Its dungeons are described as soulslike, with fluid combat throughout, and the world is vast and vibrant, with rich lore for newcomers and returning adventurers alike. Players can explore, fight, and adventure together across multiplayer Auroria.

50 years after the original

The story takes place about 50 years after the original ArcheAge. Early Access means the world will keep growing while players are inside it, and XLGAMES is also offering a pre-order bonus costume for early buyers.

The original ArcheAge first launched in Korea in 2013. Players jumping in today can expect the usual Early Access caveats: bugs, balance changes, and content still on the way.

You can find ArcheAge Chronicles on Steam now.
