Hunter’s Moon Cast Revealed: 48 Actors, 100+ Roles

The Halloween season just got a little spookier. Twin Swans, the London studio formed by veterans of The Stanley Parable and Signalis, has revealed the full voice cast for Hunter’s Moon, its first-person historical folk-horror game launching exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 26.

The numbers are striking for an indie release: 48 actors voicing more than 100 characters. Leading the cast is Hannah Morley (Apartment 7A) as Lilith Thorne, the accused “witch” whose desperate flight drives the entire game. Gregg Lowe (Crimson Desert, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles) plays her nemesis, the Witchfinder General.

The supporting cast reads like a roll call of British screen and game talent. Anthony Howell (007 First Light, Silent Hill: Townfall) voices Anthony Talbot, while Joe Pitts (Lies of P, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined) plays John Purdy. Rounding out the village are Sophie McShera, Matt Stokoe, Samuel Barnett, Jacob Dudman, and Charlotte Bellamy, among many others. Several performers double up on roles, with actors like Lyn Paul and Ewan Bailey covering multiple villagers apiece — a smart way for a small studio to fill a whole village with distinct voices.

That village is where the game’s unusual hook lives. Set across a single night in a 17th-century rural English village, Hunter’s Moon casts you as Lilith, fleeing the Witchfinder General, the village magistrate, and a local huntsman. The signature mechanic is eavesdropping: pressing close to windows and doorways lets you listen in on villagers’ conversations, picking up warnings, advice, folk songs, and sacred items that can help you survive until dawn. Twin Swans describes the approach as inspired by immersive theatre — the idea that every conversation in the village is part of the performance, and the most dangerous thing out there isn’t a monster, but your neighbors.

Writer and director Alicia Contestabile, who produced The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, says the goal was to place players inside the perspective of an accused woman and show how fear and superstition can turn a community against one of its own. A haunting original score from Resina (the project behind the A Monster Called Home soundtrack) completes the atmosphere.

For a compact indie horror release landing right before Halloween, the scale of this cast is a statement of ambition. Hunter’s Moon arrives on PS5 on October 26, and it’s shaping up to be one of the season’s most distinctive scares.
