Anno 117: Pax Romana – Dawn of the Delta Out Now, Free Weekend Until Nov 9

Anno 117: Pax Romana just sailed south. Dawn of the Delta, the third and largest expansion of the city builder’s first year, is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, opening the brand-new province of Aegyptus.

The new province is inspired by the Nile Delta, and the river runs the show. The Nile floods with the seasons, so governors build irrigation channels to turn floodwater into rich farmland, unlocking new production chains, new goods, and new raiders to watch for. Romanization mechanics blend Roman order with Egyptian tradition as the two cultures meet.

Three new gods join the empire: Sobek, Isis-Bastet, and Thoth, each blessing cities in different ways. The Pyramid Restoration project lets players pour offerings into rebuilding the Great Pyramids themselves, a province-wide effort that runs alongside the usual city building.

Update 3.0 lands alongside the expansion for every player, whether they buy the DLC or not. It adds Stamp Mode, which saves a city layout so it can be reused in a new game, plus expanded statistics screens and a Hall of Fame with Egyptian rewards for all players.

Anyone who has never governed Rome can try it free this weekend. The Anno 117: Pax Romana base game is free to download and play through November 9, including multiplayer and co-op, though the Dawn of the Delta expansion itself is not part of the free weekend.

Dawn of the Delta is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and with a Ubisoft+ subscription. The base game, developed by Ubisoft Mainz, launched in November 2025.
