Koei Tecmo Delays Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hishou Reveal

Koei Tecmo has postponed the reveal for Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hishou. The first official livestream was set for November 4, 2026.

Trailer and release date both on hold

The stream was supposed to open with a new trailer and the game’s release date. Both are now on hold, with no new date announced. Koei Tecmo says it is re-examining the release date and the supported platforms, to deliver a better user experience. The company did not say which platforms are under review, and it apologised to players who have been waiting.

What was planned

Hishou was announced in June 2026, planned for winter 2026 in Japan and Asia on Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC on Steam. A western release has still not been announced.

One warning for magazine readers: the November 19 issue of Weekly Famitsu will still print the old planned date, but that date reflects plans from before the change, so do not treat it as final. Koei Tecmo says the new release date and platforms will be announced once they are decided.

The series account announced the change on X on November 2, just two days before the stream. Fans had waited months for this broadcast, the first official livestream for the game.
